About Us:

Julian and liz have 15 years experience running their own restaurant. Following the sale of their previous restaurant in Staffordshire they relocated with their two small children to the Lake District in August 2006 to purchase the Bridge House Restaurant. Following a tasteful refurbishment they continue their love for the industry. A small, friendly and efficient team work hard to maintain consistencies of the highest standard for their diners creating a relaxed atmosphere with professional and personal service, but most of all cuisine of the highest quality by Chef/Proprietor Julian.

Bridge Street Restaurant is housed within a beautiful Grade 2 listed Georgian building. The 36 seater restaurant is contemporary in design, simple yet stylish. The two dining rooms are on the first floor, enabling diners to maximise the beautiful views of the River Kent that it overlooks. Warm beige tones on the walls compliment the polished solid wooden tables and faux suede chairs to set a clean but intimate ambience. Carefully chosen modern art often becomes a talking point amongst guests. The lounge bar is ideal for pre dinner drinks or relaxing with coffee at the end of your meal.
